Don't miss this chance to visit Italy in Green Bay!.
Angelina's not only has the best Italian food in Green Bay, it is one of my top 5 favorite restaurants in the region for food--period. Made with authentic recipes and excellent ingredients, I have been delighted with every meal I have purchased. I once held a private company dinner there--the upstairs has its own dining room and bar--and everything was excellent.
I especially love the small outdoors seating in the summer. Now that I have waxed poetic, I will report a few negatives. I once ordered a bottle of wine they recomended that was heinous. However, they got me a different bottle with no fuss when I compalined. Nest: be prepared for a European dinner, which means you will be there for quite a while. If you want a quick in-and-out, this is not your place. If you want to linger over food and wine for hours, you will adore this place. You can speed them up by saying in advance you have to get out at a certain time. Personally, if you love fine food, I think it is worth it to slow down once in a while and smell the ravioli.
The best REAL Itallian food PERIOD. If you want authentic Italian/Sicillian food, you have to try this place. It is by far one of the best places in Green Bay. Seating can be dicy but the wait is well worth it.
This is a fine establishment.
I had to write something because the previous reviews are very rude. I ate here two years ago and everything was exquisite. This undoubtably is the best italian food in Green Bay, no competition at all.
I usually make my own italian, so I don't go out for italian, but if I did this is the ONLY place in GB I would go.
Avoid Angelina!. It once was good now it's a joke. We went during Art Street and found everything sucked. The hostess, waitress and the food. Even the wine was bad. Angelina has seen better days.
A Treasure In A Sea of Italian Wanna Be's.
To the Packer pea brain who thinks authentic Italian cooking means mounds of pasta with prefab sauces (like those offered by the downtown competitor he mentioned as an alternative): you probably think stadium fare is cuisine as well. For those of us who have traveled outside of cheesehead city - to other countries even - we find Angelina's to be a treasure.
I usually go for the specials offered as they often utilize seasonal items in the offering. There are few places in the area where you'll find herbed, grilled swordfish popping as a dinner choice on occasion. From the main menu, the lobster-filled ravioli is also a treat. For the less adventurous, if you want to sample the best tasting, freshly-made Alfredo sauce you've ever experienced, try Angelina's. Dip the freshly made bread in the herbed virgin olive oil and sweet balsamic vinegar. Try the homemade vinaigrette dressings. If you?re so inclined have a glass of wine from the limited but carefully selected choices Angelina's offers.
By the way, Angelina's is open for lunch as well, if you want to try a taste before committing to a more expensive full dinner. Also, in the summer months you can dine al fresco in the open air courtyard in back.
So if you're idea of real Italian is fare resembling Ragu and Chef Boyardee, follow the Farve fan's advice - but if you want to get a real taste of Italy without having to fly over to Tuscany or Rome, then Angelina's is the place to try when you're in Green Bay.
Great foot, affordable prices. Excellent food! Proper portion sizes and great value. Excellent place to take a date or for business dinners. Don't be afraid to try something new. You will not be disappointed.
Excellent, eclectic Italian in Green Bay. Terrific Italian food in downtown GB. Service was excellent - waiter was very helpful with recommendations for wine & dishes. Went early in the week, got seated immediately. Food was wonderful with a nice selection of dishes, more than the traditional spaghetti & meatballs. Wine list was very complete with nice variety. An exceptional small Italian restaurant that I would highly recommend.
NASTY!!!!. This has to be the WORST place I have ever eaten at. The food was simply gross. The service was horrible. Do yourself a favor and STAY away from this place. Victoria's has to be the best place for italian food. Pizza Hut is more Italian than Angelina's.
