The Cost Cutters of Dental Work – Worst dental office ever. They are like the Cost Cutters of dental work... people just out of school who don't know what they are doing. I went in for a chipping molar. I was told that I needed a root canal. I was pregnant at the time so I waited until after baby was born. I called to schedule the appt. They told me I would need updated xrays. I went in for the xrays and two days later got a call saying my xrays were blurry and had to go back in to re-take them. At that appt, a dentist looked my tooth over and decided I should have never been told a root canal would save it and it needed to be extracted. I had that procedure done. Then, I had to get a filling. I had it scheduled with Dr Toufic Saade. WORST DENTIST EVER. He hummed thru my entire appt. If that wasn't annoying enuf, he would give me commands, like "Bite down slowly" As I thought I was biting slowly he was saying "hurry up, hurry up, hurry up" Then he jabbed one of his tools in my gums and when I flinched, he said "You're fine." Wouldn't go back here if it was free.
Rude Pediatric Dentist – I just want to say that before today I thought Dental Associates was great but it only takes one rude person to make you never want to come back again. On our last visit the hygienist gave two of my children flouride treatments without asking my permission. If they would have asked, I would have said no. I was willing to overlook this as a mistake and paid for the treatments. Today I took my 7 year old daughter in for an exam only but didn't want any x-rays taken for her. My husband and I don't feel it is necessary for her to have them at this age. She did have x-rays taken about 2 years ago. I signed a waiver saying I refused the x-rays. The hygienist then talked to the pediatric dentist and she said she would not do the exam without the x-rays. They hygienist then started to prepare my daughter to clean her teeth even though I verbally told her I didn't want the cleaning and also signed a paper saying I didn't want the cleaning. After waiting for the pediatric dentist to finish with another patient, I asked her if I could make an appointment to have a procedure done to cut part of my daughter's gum which had grown between her front teeth. She said that my daughter would have to have bite-wing and pan x-rays as well as an exam before I could have someone look at it. I then asked her if I could have the procedure done for sure if I allowed the x-rays. She said no and then rudely said "I can't see you" and walked away. The hygienist then said she would have to cancel our appointment. In my opinion, this is very rude and unprofessional. Dental Associates has lost my business. It only takes one bad experience to make you never want to come back.
***Someone from Dental Associates called and apologized the next day and offered to have my children seen by another pediatric dentist. This was very nice. As I said in the beginning, I thought Dental Associates was great before dealing with the rude pediatric dentist.
Inexperienced "professionals" at your service – I have a wire support on the inside of my lower front teeth. Upon my recent cleaning, Jul. 8, the hygenist was flossing those front teeth. In order to do so, you must use a threader and floss underneath the wire. She began flossing and intentionally (I write this because she did this with each tooth), began flossing the gumline and pulling her hardest into the wire until the floss snapped. I obviously could not say anything, but asked her what she was doing..."I'm new and have not seen those things before." Okay, i brush it off and then get my viewing from the dentist.
She was so rough with my teeth and the wire, she snapped the glue affixing the wire to my tooth! It would also appear these dentists do not know what fluroysis is either. Because I have it and every one of my tooth in my god-forsaken, non-soda drinking body is on "watch" which is dental slang for "cavity-ready." AKA, they're gonna fill it on your next few visits regardless
I have only improved my eating and drinking habits, yet my most recent stint with Dental Associates Inc. has me in there every other week.
If they do not resolve the glue situation for free and we cannot work out a compromise, the will be hearing about this place. I am obviously not the first to say something either.
