Great view (at least they have that going for them). I like a few things about this restaurant, but only a few. Cool cars in the dining room and being right on the river, other than that this was a huge disappointment. We had a large group of people that were having a holiday dinner. Even though the entire place was almost empty, we had to order our drinks at the bar as our waitress hardly ever took our drink orders. The food came out in waves and one person inour group got her food almost 10 minutes after the first person did. And then the food was not very good at all. How do you mess up a Friday fish fry when you call yourself a "seafood" place. Won't be going back.
Great Live Music. I went down to Jimmy Seas last weekend and had a fantastic time. Had dinner with some friends and everyone absolutely loved their food ( Highly recommend the "Mustang Sally"!!). We were also treated to an amazing blues band after dinner! The place was packed and I've never danced so much in my life! This is my NEW favorite place in Green Bay!!!!
Try the fish tacos. Love the fish tacos, a great stop on the way home to meet up with co-workers, grab a drink and appetizers. you must sit on the outdoor eating/bar area in summer. Restaurant has good feel, a bit dark inside, but still a good stop for lunch.
Slow service and food, mediocre food. We stopped in on a sunday. Had to go find a waitress. Seating outside is kind of tacky, and you have a nice view of a papermill, whoopie. For $8 you get a generic chicken sandwich and some fries. They had one cook going and it took forever. There was a drunk and rude gentleman at the bar who started talking to my wife. I won't return.
BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!!!!!!!! Jimmy Seas has it all... Eats, peeps and atmosphere AA+++++.
I have traveled from South Africa to Amsterdam, Brazil, Venezuela, Costa Rica, The Caribbean, Maui, Cabo, and 46 states. My longest road-trip to date is 9,000+ miles. I have traveled the main drag, to back
roads, to places you need a snowmobile to get to in the winter. If there's more than one restaurant/cafe/joint with the same name, you will not find me in it. I search out cool bars and cafes to point I thought of doing a book. I don't tell you this to impress you, I tell you this to impress upon you that I don't take recommending Jimmy Seas lightly. Most people use goggle to search out places, I ask the locals and the best locals to ask are Taxi drivers. So when a friend of mine and I stumble out of a bar in downtown Green Bay and slid into the backof a cab, the driver said "where to guys?" my response was the same as when a server ask what I'd like to eat. "That's up to you." 'excuse me!' "We're hungry, we want a local place with equal flavor of atmosphere and food. That's where to. please." As he pulled down the ramp that leads to Jimmy Seas my friend gave me a look that said 'What the hell did you get us into." I smiled. I can say I wasn't impressed until I pulled open the front. Moments later we were enjoying a cold beer on the deck. My friend looked at me and I gave him the same smirk that I gave him in the Taxi.... 'trust me.' So when are server asked, "what are we having?" My buddy Will, said to me, "I'll trust you" so I said to the server "That's up to you." We split a Mustang Sally Turkey with Paco's homemade Guacamole and a Heavy Chevy. All this talk of Jimmy Seas is making me hungry and need of a cool place to eat... so I'm outa-here heading to - Neptunes Net - it's my Jimmy Seas (i live in LA) but on the West Coast. Peace Out Peeps, it's time to eat....... :)
Best Atmosphere. Love the atmosphere! From the eye catching sunsets on the outdoor patio to the warmth of the interior, this place is the only place to be all year round. The superior customer service from the wait staff to bartenders will surely please anyone! The homemade guacamole is the best, along with the gyro wrap! You'll be missing out if you don't try the Heavy Chevy, but be prepared...it is big! Something for everyone on the menu. If you're smart, you'll go early, enjoy some dinner and drinks and stay for some of Green Bay's best bands. They play both inside and out!
