Always friendly. Cozy atmosphere. Good food. Warm hospitality.

I have read the reviews and can only state that I have never had a bad experience in the restaurant and I have been there many times.

The staff is always friendly and the food hot and well prepared. Good home cooking in a small town.

I would highly recommend this place for anyone trail-riding or just passing through the area.

If you like bad service and bad food, this is the place!. I have gone to Mountain Bear to eat 3 times this summer. The first time, we were the only people in there-got great service and food. Second time, we took someone with us because we raved about it. We had to wait 45 minutes before we got our food, and mine was wrong, so I had to wait for them to fix it. I got fish and it was very fishy and cold-horrible!!! The third time, we sat down and waited 10 minutes before anyone even waited on us. Another 10 minutes waiting for our drinks. Then another hour before we got our food. Our food was cold, burnt, and overall horrible. There was another couple that was there waiting just as long for their food, they walked out after just having their coffee. It appears if you aren't a local, you might as well wait for service! Also, the cook came out a few times, wiping the sweat off of him, made me wonder if I am eating his sweat! We are NEVER going back there to eat! We are making sure everyone that we know will not go there to eat. It is just sad because it is a beautiful building and right off of 32, so it lures everyone in, but, looks are deceiving! I have a feeling there are many, many people that feel the same way, but, won't post anything. But, I bet they are telling their friends!

everything is great. I loved the food and thought that the staff members were very pleasent to my table. I go there everytime im up north now. The breakfast is amazing and so filling. I love the omlets!

food is great. A large selection of All American Breakfast

Waffles, 9 different Omelets, Pan Fried Trout, Country Fried Steak, Biscuits & Gravy, Child and Senior Menu

Lunch Menu, Burgers to Grill Chicken Sandwiches, BLT's, Club or Mt. Bear Burger (big favorite)

Dinner Menu has Hot Beef Dinners & Fish to Steaks and yes cocktails or your farvorite Beer

Poor service, rude manager. Food was inedible and when I told waitress, I was told it was my problem, there was nothing wrong with food. I did not eat my meal but was charged for it. When I refused to pay for what I did not eat, the manager called the police. She said "this happens all the time"

Place we were staying at said they have not sent anyone there in over a year. Best advice- stay away from this place.
